My Savior, My God, My Father, My Lord

I used to love rock and pop songs, but after I listen to christian songs, I found out that nowadays the songs are meaningless, like Lady Gaga, her songs full of crap, what Poker Face, Bad Romance, or whatever it is. I just browsed through Billboard Top 50 Singles for this week, I was shocked to see Like A G6 is no.1. This song is a  party song, and its totally meaningless, like I Gotta Feeling from B.E.P. People who lives in this age, doesn't know that a song, is actually a mixture of emotions, beautiful meanings, like a poem, to someone or something you love.

My Savior,My God by Aaron Shust, is a beautiful song, its a totally different feeling when you listening to modern songs and christian songs, when you're listening to christian songs, you will feel like you're in another realm, peaceful, joy, not like modern songs, Like A G6, its about sex, self-seeking, self pleasure, and all links to sin. No wonder nowadays the teenagers like to club, bad influences from medias, what's the point of getting drunk and wasted and end up destroying your body? 1 Corinthians 3:16, we are the temples of God, and God's Spirit lives in us. And if we dirty the temple, which is we sin and do not obey God, the Spirit will go away. Do not seek things that pleasures your body, as the body will decay but not the spirit. It is our spirits that we have to take care of, because our spirit is everlasting and only God can destroys it. I'm not of afraid of man, what they can do to me? Destroys my body, but my spirit still lives.

Its ironic that we fear man more than we fear God, man's word cannot kill us, but it is the God's word that will destroys us. Man can't do a thing, as we are all the same, we are all sinners, not even Satan can destroy my spirit, only God can destroy my spirit. I encourage everyone to fear God, because He is the Almighty.

Man's law is nothing but a piece of paper, and there's nothing significant out of it. It is God's law that is powerful. But yet it is not the law that saves us, but the Grace of God, the Love of the Son, Jesus Christ that died for us on the cross and through Him we are saved. He purchased our spirit and soul with His blood. We belong to Him.

Blessed be the name of the Lord, when the darkness closes in, still I will say blessed be the name of the Lord!

Today's sermon

Woke up late today, because last night was quite drunk, went to Blue Jaz with Hennes, nice pub, cozy sofas, nice people, nice drink and nice food. Quite cheap though. I woke up around 10am, so was quite late, I took a cab down to Suntec City, because I don't really like to be late for service, especially meeting God and I want to listen to His words, they are beautiful and powerful!

Today's sermon was about faith. Hebrews 11:6, said that without faith, it is impossible to please God. The faith here is not blind faith, which is your own faith, the faith here in Mark 11:24, Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. I have to believe that I received it, then I will receive it. Abit confusing here but, its just like, when your dad tells you that he will buy you a car, then you believed him that you will get a car, and then you get your car. Its something like that. It's hard sometimes, because when you're in desperation and frustration, you tend to want it immediately, but the pastor said, its like getting pregnant, when female conceived, she can't see it, but it is there. You must believe that you received it, then you will get it. In Matthew 13:12, says that whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. In order to have it, one must believe it, believe that you receive it, and you will get it.

We must be in the realm of Faith, which is where God wants us be, not realm of Feelings, which is where Satan want us be. Yes we have feelings, but we're not controlled by feelings, even when we're being struck down, we're not destroyed, because Jesus is with us! 

Have faith my brothers and sisters, and control well your feelings, don't let the feelings control you, as when it happens, Satan will control you. Live in the realm of faith not the realm of feelings. :) God bless!

Awesome Sunday

First of all, PRAISE THE LORD! Heavenly Father, Prince of Peace and the awesome Counselor. Really hit the wall today, pissed our supervisor, but we have faith in Him, as He will turn a tragic accident into a glorious victory. Graceful Lord, Loving Father, and Merciful God, when I was so frustrated, He send her to cheer me up, at that moment, I realized that must have Hope in God, and have Faith, I prayed to Him, please guide us through, at 3.25pm, our supervisor email us, say our report is good to go and GOOD JOB! I know it His Grace, really thank God.

Faith

Today I woke up quite late, so I missed out the first 2 services. But luckily I still went for the 3rd service, because the sermon is about Faith. Well the sermon briefly talks about Moses helped the Israelites escaped from Egypt and stayed in wilderness for 40 years. But amazingly, it is also talks about Jesus. First year of wilderness, the Israelites were complaining about thirst and Moses used his rod to struck (beating) the boulder, which represents Jesus on the cross. And at the 40th year in wilderness, the Israelites complained about thirst again, and this time, God asked Moses to use Aaron's rod which blooms, represents Grace,Life, Resurrection, to speak to the cliff (Jesus). But Moses didn't obey God and he used the rod to struck the cliff, Jesus's body, which represents the church! But still the water flows out abundantly, and the people and animals drank it. So basically it says, Jesus took the beating and there shouldn't be any beating to the people after that. Instead of beating, God wants us to love and speak to Jesus whenever we face our problems and don't beat ourselves or our loved ones.

The pastor also added this, this part I think is the most important part of the sermon. It is not LAW that makes the people to repent, but it is the LOVE of GOD that makes the people to repent. By forcing people to follow the LAW, it is like beating them and it's not gonna work as good as telling them how much Jesus LOVES them.

Also, Faith is important in our life, the word Amen is not just so simple as it is. It means rock in hebrew ,means your prayers are as hard as rock, and when you put Amen behind, meaning you're believing it that its going to happen, by Faith! Faith is the way that you believes in God, and Faith also shows that you Love God.

Don't stop believing, don't stop having Faith, Don't stop loving God.

Faith, Hope and Love comes together, it is the three virtues that a christian should have.

Memorizing verses

Memorizing verses is a joy, and everytime you finish memorize a verse, you can feel that you're much more closer to God. I recently just started to memorize verse. Its not alot, but I know someday I can memorize the whole book.

Its been 3rd time that God talks about the Cost of Following Jesus to me. The first time is during a cell group with Andre, I flipped through Luke, and the verses captured me, I pondered on it quite some time but i still dun get it. 2nd time its through Andre's work, reminds me of the Cost of Following Jesus, and 3rd time is through yesterday's cell group.

Its not easy to following Jesus, but if its His calling, I will, surely follow Him, let the dead bury their own dead, and I go proclaim the kingdom of God.

"No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the Kingdom of God." Luke 9:62

The Cost of Following Jesus (Luke 9:57-62)

This verse is the verse that I pondered upon, and keep thinking about it. It's a though Jesus is talking to me, are you sure you want to follow me, even though He has no home in this world, and you will be the same, you have to be ready for the mission even though it means to go ahead of your beloved ones, and never look back while you are doing His work.

There is strong feeling of me right now after I read this verse. Serving God is not an easy task, I maybe get killed in the way, but I know that even if it means to lay down my life just for the sake of glorify Father, I will do it. When its Father's calling, its just like my dad called me, I will answer it immediately, and put down what I'm doing and start his request. It is a joy and excitement when you're doing your dad's request, it is the same applied to our Heavenly Father. Even though my dad is poor dad, but I have a rich Father, who owns the world, and He is willingly to help me when I'm in need.

I pray to you Father please guide us through, and let us respond with joy and excitement when You called us to do Your work.
